Charles Edward was born on June 12th, 1885 in Iowa.  Charles Edward's father was Franz Michael (Franklin M.) Kesel and his mother was Marion M. Geddes.  His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm Kesel and Johanna Roth. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Frank W., Robert Boone, William Joseph, John Cornelius, Annie, Lizzie, Margaret Maude and Agnes Marie.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 72 on June 22nd, 1957 in Orange, Kalifornien.
