Anna Barbara was born in 1715 in Kempten. Anna Barbara's father was Joachim Heydecker and her mother was Dorothea Wenglin. Her paternal grandparents were Joachim Heydecker and Ursula Kiesel. She had two brothers and a sister, named Georg, Johann Leonhard and Maria Catherina. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had three half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Markus, Joachim, Marcus, Ursula, Magdalena, Veronika, Susanne, Anna Maria and Euphrosina.-
